Saturday

Another outing for the 20” wheeled bikes. Raring to go, pumped up to 40 psi, now with its slime inner tubes.

The Sun looks set to shine, well at least make an appearance in the afternoon.

Breakfast first, we are trying out some mini croisants from the “Co Op”. Having tasted the real things in the south of France a couple of years ago, nothing has quite matched up.
So if like us you are also searching, here is one to try.

The bikes are taken out of the bags and with a few clicks assembled. Drinks and food packed into the pannier bags, with a zip of the high viz  jacket we are off.

Country lanes are but a few minutes away. There are a  few hilly bits, but Lesley  whoops with delight as she speeds down them, her newly fitted mileometer reading, 9, 10-12-14 mph.

Our first destination is soon reached, the “Cotswold water park”, with beach.

£2.00 per adult and £1.00 per child, if visiting by car, ( this being the parking charge).

We decide to take the path around the lake, which would be wonderful in the summer. Before completing the circuit and just beside the man made beach, we choose a bench with a view up the lake, to stop for lunch. This is a wooden platform made from decking boards, this being the eating area for the burger bar.

The journey back is on quiet lanes, with just a stop by a disused canal we are soon back at the camp site.
